Identify Her & Wholeness Leader | Prayer Pastor
Amanda is one of the founding members of our church and is on the leadership team of “Identify Her”, our women’s ministry, and also is the lead pastor of the “CityWatch” prayer ministry. Amanda has a deep burden for seeing women reach their fullest potential and fulfill their God given destinies. She fully supports and propagates the concept of women in Marketplace Ministry and is on the Healing and Wholeness team.
She is a fully qualified Licensed Massage Therapist and has developed a unique series of movement classes called “Unwind”. Amanda has founded her own company called The Movement Habit, where she works with clients and students through hands on work and educational seminars to give them tools to maximize their personal movement.
She is currently developing a partnership with TORCC to create new exercise methods that are creative in expression, effective in transformation, but grounded in biblical truth. Amanda has a passion to see the fitness and dance communities embrace methods that are not rooted in soul expression, but true spiritual identity in Christ. It is for this reason that Amanda’s extensive knowledge of the body and it’s grand design equips her to work so effectively in the Healing and Wholeness department of the Transformation Ministry -- with a special emphasis on physical and emotional healing.
We are excited for new techniques and tools that our team and Amanda are pioneering. Look out for instructionals, classes, and courses coming soon to TORCC TV.
Amanda is also a prominent choreographer, dancer (primarily modern) and actress. She earned her undergraduate degree from St Olaf College majoring in Fine Arts with concentrations in Dance and Theatre. Upon arrival in New York at the age of 20, soon thereafter, she trained at The Ailey School and then at Peridance as a member of the Peridance Training Ensemble. She has had a textured career in the arts including performing in and choreographing for several Off-Broadway productions (musical theatre and concert dance) including that of her own dance company (co-founded with Virginia Pike), Skylight Dance Theatre as well as regional musical theatre productions and producing several outdoor dance events in Times Square.
Amanda is also a direct descendant of Rev William Brewster, the pastor of the Mayflower. It is our great honor to have Amanda as part of TORCC NY’s leadership team fulfilling her part in Rev Brewster’s dream of one nation under God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Amanda has completed the SOAP leadership module including the following:
