A new year is coming—and with it, a new operation of Heaven. As we enter 5787, the Hebrew letter Zayin (ז) carries the imagery of a sword, cutting instrument, weapon, and instrument of harvest. Prophetically, we believe the sword in the hand of the Warrior is becoming the scalpel in the hand of the Surgeon. Hebrews 4:12 declares that God’s Word is sharper than any two-edged sword. In 5787, we anticipate intensive spiritual surgery in the earth and in the hearts of men—cutting away old wounds, scars, mixture, and everything that cannot accompany us into what God is bringing. Yet the blade that cuts is also the blade that protects and harvests. What God heals, He intends to guard. What He prunes, He intends to make fruitful.
