Collectively, these are referred to as the “TORCC Services.”

By accessing or using the TORCC Services, creating an account, registering for an event, making a donation or purchase, opting into communications, or otherwise interacting with TORCC Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the TORCC Services.

1. About TORCC

Times of Refreshing Christian Center is a Christian ministry serving communities including New York City, United States and Sydney, Australia, together with individuals who interact with TORCC through our online and digital ministries.

Our mission includes Christian worship, teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, ministry, community engagement, events, education, communications, and other activities consistent with TORCC’s religious mission and beliefs.

Certain TORCC Services may be operated through third-party technology providers on TORCC’s behalf.

2. Eligibility and Use of TORCC Services

You may use TORCC Services only in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

You agree that information you provide to TORCC will be accurate and that you will not intentionally impersonate another individual, misrepresent your identity, interfere with TORCC Services, or use TORCC systems for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes.

TORCC may restrict or terminate access to any service where reasonably necessary to protect TORCC, its members, attendees, staff, volunteers, systems, or community.

3. Member Accounts

Certain TORCC Services may allow you to create an account or member profile.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

You agree to notify TORCC if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization.

Member accounts may contain information relating to church participation, event registrations, ministry involvement, communication preferences, groups, volunteering, giving, or other TORCC activities.

Account access does not create any contractual right to membership, leadership, employment, ministry position, volunteer placement, or participation in any particular TORCC activity.

TORCC may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts where appropriate.

4. Children and Minors

TORCC provides ministry and programming for children, young people, and families.

Where parental or guardian consent is required by law or TORCC policy, a parent or legal guardian must provide the necessary authorization before a minor uses applicable account, communication, registration, or interactive features.

Certain direct-messaging or community features may be restricted for younger users.

TORCC may request age confirmation or parental or guardian authorization and may restrict access when required for safeguarding or compliance purposes.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children’s use of TORCC digital services.

5. Community and Messaging Features

Some TORCC platforms may allow users to communicate with other members, participate in groups, send messages, post content, or interact with ministry teams.

You agree not to use these features to:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, exploit, or abuse another person;
  • Send obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, fraudulent, or unlawful material;
  • Solicit minors inappropriately;
  • Impersonate another individual;
  • Distribute spam or unauthorized commercial promotions;
  • Distribute malware or malicious code;
  • Attempt to access another person’s private information;
  • Engage in conduct inconsistent with TORCC community standards.

TORCC reserves the right to moderate, restrict, remove, investigate, or report content or conduct where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, platform integrity, or enforcement of these Terms.

6. Ministry, Spiritual and Educational Content

TORCC provides Christian teaching, preaching, prayer, discipleship, pastoral guidance, ministry resources, courses, broadcasts, and other faith-based content.

Such content reflects TORCC’s religious beliefs, teachings, ministry practices, and interpretations of Scripture.

Participation in TORCC ministry does not guarantee any specific spiritual, relational, emotional, physical, financial, or other result.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, general ministry and educational content provided through TORCC Services is not intended to replace individualized professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice.

If you have an emergency or believe you are in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services or qualified professionals.

7. Events and Registrations

TORCC may provide registrations for worship services, conferences, classes, ministry activities, counseling appointments, children’s programs, special events, and other activities.

Event details, including location, speakers, schedules, programs, and availability, may change.

Registration does not guarantee admission where an event is cancelled, rescheduled, at capacity, or subject to safety, venue, legal, or ministry requirements.

Where registration fees apply, applicable refund or cancellation conditions will be displayed during registration or communicated separately.

TORCC reserves the right to refuse or revoke registration where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, misconduct, disruption, or violation of these Terms.

8. Giving and Donations

TORCC may provide opportunities to make voluntary donations, offerings, tithes, contributions, or other gifts through its websites, applications, events, or other services.

Donations are voluntary.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including services such as Stripe and PayPal. TORCC generally does not directly store complete payment-card information when transactions are processed by an authorized payment processor.

Where applicable, donors may receive receipts or acknowledgments for their contributions.

Any statement regarding tax deductibility is subject to applicable law and the donor’s individual circumstances. Donors should consult their own tax adviser regarding eligibility for deductions.

Where a donor expresses a preference regarding the use of a gift, TORCC will seek to honor that preference when reasonably possible and legally permissible. Unless otherwise legally restricted, TORCC retains appropriate stewardship and control over donated funds consistent with its charitable and ministry purposes.

Except where required by law, completed charitable contributions may be non-refundable. Requests concerning errors, duplicate transactions, or exceptional circumstances should be directed to TORCC.

9. TORCC Store and Purchases

TORCC may offer books, apparel, media, resources, event materials, or other products through store.torcc.org or related services.

The TORCC store may use third-party commerce providers such as Shopify and third-party payment processors.

Product availability, pricing, shipping, taxes, returns, exchanges, and refund conditions may be subject to additional policies presented at the time of purchase.

TORCC may cancel or refund an order where necessary because of stock availability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, technical issues, or other reasonable circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Electronic Communications

By providing contact information to TORCC, you acknowledge that TORCC may communicate with you electronically regarding transactions, registrations, account activity, support requests, security notices, and other communications permitted by your preferences and applicable law.

Email, push notification, and SMS preferences may be managed through available TORCC communication settings.

Certain transactional or security communications may still be necessary to operate your account even when you decline optional communications.

11. TORCC SMS Text Messaging Program

TORCC may offer an optional text messaging program for individuals who affirmatively consent to receive SMS communications.

Messages You May Receive

Depending on your consent and interaction with TORCC, SMS communications may include:

  • Event and service reminders;
  • Event-registration confirmations;
  • Appointment reminders;
  • Scheduling or serving updates;
  • Account notifications;
  • Ministry-related notifications;
  • Responses to support requests;
  • Other communications within the categories for which you have consented.

TORCC clearly identifies itself as the sender of its messaging program.

Consent

SMS participation is voluntary.

Providing a mobile telephone number alone does not automatically enroll you in TORCC SMS messaging.

Where SMS consent is requested through the TORCC mobile application, TORCC Pulse, an event form, or another approved TORCC digital service, you must affirmatively opt in.

SMS consent is not required as a condition of using TORCC Services, registering for an event, making a donation, or making a purchase.

Your consent applies only to the telephone number for which consent was provided.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your registrations, appointments, account activity, ministry participation, communication preferences, and interactions with TORCC.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Your wireless carrier’s rates and terms govern charges associated with sending or receiving text messages.

Opting Out

You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time.

Reply STOP to a TORCC SMS to unsubscribe.

Other supported carrier or platform opt-out keywords may also be recognized.

After opting out, you may receive a final confirmation message. You will not receive further messages from that TORCC SMS program unless you subsequently provide valid consent again.

Re-Enrollment

If you previously opted out and later wish to receive TORCC SMS communications again, you may re-enroll through an authorized TORCC opt-in process or another supported re-subscription method.

A prior opt-in does not override a later opt-out.

SMS Privacy

TORCC does not sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data.

Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and messaging consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers may process information on TORCC’s behalf where reasonably necessary to operate the messaging service and subject to appropriate privacy and security obligations.

Please see the TORCC Privacy Policy for additional information.

12. Privacy

Your privacy is important to TORCC.

Our collection, use, storage, disclosure, and protection of personal information is governed by the TORCC Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using TORCC Services, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in that Privacy Policy.

13. Third-Party Services

TORCC Services may rely on or link to third-party platforms or service providers, including payment processors, hosting providers, communications providers, mapping services, video services, analytics services, social media services, and other technology providers.

These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

TORCC is not responsible for the independent practices, availability, or content of third-party services that are not controlled by TORCC.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, TORCC owns or is authorized to use the content made available through TORCC Services, including:

  • Other original content.

TORCC content may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise permitted.

You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, modify, distribute, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from TORCC-owned content without authorization, except where permitted by law.

15. User-Submitted Content

Where TORCC allows you to submit comments, photographs, messages, testimonies, prayer requests, files, or other material, you retain ownership of rights you lawfully hold in your content.

You grant TORCC the rights reasonably necessary to store, process, display, transmit, or otherwise use that content for the purpose for which it was submitted.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that doing so does not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

Separate permission may be requested for public use of testimonials, photographs, recordings, or promotional material where appropriate.

16. Livestreams, Photography and Recording

TORCC services, events, conferences, and gatherings may be photographed, livestreamed, recorded, or broadcast.

Where appropriate, TORCC may provide notice that photography or recording is taking place.

Additional consent may be sought where required by law, particularly concerning minors or uses requiring specific authorization.

17. Acceptable Use

You must not use TORCC Services to:

  • Violate applicable law;

  • Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
  • Interfere with another person’s use of TORCC Services.

TORCC may take reasonable technical or administrative measures to prevent misuse.

18. Availability of Services

TORCC works to maintain reliable digital services but does not guarantee that every TORCC Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Services may occasionally be suspended or modified for maintenance, updates, security, technical problems, ministry needs, or circumstances beyond TORCC’s reasonable control.

Features may be added, changed, or discontinued.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TORCC Services are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

TORCC does not warrant that digital services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

Nothing in this section limits warranties, guarantees, or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TORCC and its directors, officers, ministers, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising solely from your use of or inability to use TORCC digital services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including applicable statutory consumer rights.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold TORCC harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of TORCC Services, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or content you submit through TORCC Services.

This provision does not apply to liability that cannot legally be shifted to you.

22. Suspension and Termination

TORCC may suspend or terminate access to a TORCC Service where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Violation of these Terms;
  • Unlawful activity;
  • Fraud or security threats;
  • Harassment or abuse;
  • Safeguarding concerns;
  • Misuse of ministry or communication platforms;
  • Threats to another person;
  • Technical or operational necessity.

Where appropriate, TORCC may also preserve or disclose information in response to lawful legal requirements or serious safety concerns.

23. United States and Australian Users

TORCC operates ministry activities in both the United States and Australia.

For users interacting primarily with TORCC’s United States operations, these Terms will be interpreted subject to applicable United States federal and state laws.

For users interacting with TORCC’s Australian operations, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where mandatory local law provides greater protection than these Terms, the mandatory law will prevail to the extent required.

24. Governing Law and Disputes

Except where mandatory local law requires otherwise, disputes arising from TORCC Services connected primarily with TORCC’s United States operations will be governed by the applicable laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Matters connected primarily with TORCC’s Australian operations may be subject to the laws applicable in New South Wales, Australia.

Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties are encouraged to make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes directly with TORCC.

Nothing in this section restricts rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

25. Changes to These Terms

TORCC may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in TORCC Services, ministry operations, technology, legal requirements, communications practices, security, or privacy practices.

The current version will display its Last Updated date.

Where legally required, TORCC will provide additional notice of material changes.

Continued use of TORCC Services after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms will continue in effect.

27. No Waiver

TORCC’s failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive TORCC’s right to enforce that provision in the future.

28. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the TORCC Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a particular service, event, purchase, donation, or program, constitute the applicable agreement concerning use of TORCC Services.
