1. About This Privacy Policy
Times of Refreshing Christian Center, operating as TORCC and TORCC International (“TORCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy and the trust you place in us when you interact with our church, ministries, websites, applications, events, and digital platforms.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use and protect it, when we may share it, and the choices available to you.
This Policy applies to TORCC.org, DippingNight.TORCC.org, store.torcc.org, Pulse Church Management (“Pulse”), the TORCC mobile application and Talk/Messenger features (the “TORCC App” or “Talk App”), and other TORCC websites, applications, forms, events, communications, and digital services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “TORCC Services”).
TORCC does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and text-message consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
2. Information We May Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with TORCC. The categories below are illustrative and do not mean TORCC collects every example in every circumstance.
3. Sensitive and Ministry Information
Because TORCC is a Christian church and ministry, some information you choose to provide may reveal religious beliefs, religious affiliation, ministry participation, prayer needs, pastoral circumstances, health or safety information, family matters, or other sensitive personal information.
We use sensitive information only where reasonably necessary for ministry, pastoral care, administration, safety, safeguarding, requested services, legal obligations, or other purposes described in this Policy. TORCC does not use sensitive personal information for unrelated commercial profiling or the sale of personal information.
4. How We Use Personal Information
TORCC may use personal information to:
- provide and administer TORCC Services and user accounts;
- maintain member, household, attendance, group, volunteer, ministry, and church records in Pulse or related systems;
- operate the TORCC/Talk App, private messaging, member-created groups, and account permissions;
- administer events, Dipping Night, classes, ministry appointments, children’s and youth activities, registrations, and check-in;
- provide prayer, pastoral care, ministry support, and requested follow-up;
- process donations, purchases, store orders, registrations, refunds, and other transactions;
- send authorized email, SMS/text, push, in-app, and administrative communications;
- maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, investigate reports, and enforce TORCC policies and applicable Terms;
- analyze and improve our websites, applications, technology, ministries, and user experience;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, safeguarding, safety, and regulatory obligations.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual for analytics, ministry planning, security, research, and organizational purposes.
5. Pulse, Talk, Private Messaging, and Groups
Pulse Church Management
Pulse is TORCC’s church management and member engagement system. It may contain information about members, attendees, households, children and youth, groups, volunteers, attendance, ministry involvement, prayer or pastoral follow-up, communication preferences, registrations, consent records, and giving or transaction history. Access is intended to be limited according to a person’s ministry or administrative role.
Private Messaging and Groups
The Talk App allows eligible members to communicate privately with other members and may allow members to create groups and invite other eligible members to participate. TORCC may collect and store messages, group activity, invitations, shared content, and related metadata to provide these features.
Private messages are not intended to be publicly visible. However, TORCC cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality. Authorized TORCC administrators may access, preserve, review, or disclose communications where reasonably necessary to investigate reports, protect users, address safeguarding concerns, maintain security, enforce TORCC’s Terms or community rules, or comply with law.
The conduct rules for Messenger and member-created groups, including moderation, reporting, account restrictions, and suspension, are governed by TORCC’s Terms and any Community Guidelines made available by TORCC.
6. Children, Age Verification, and Parental Authorization
TORCC provides ministries and digital features for children and young people. Information about a child may include name, age or date of birth, parent or guardian information, emergency contacts, authorized pickup information, attendance, ministry participation, allergies or health information relevant to safety, media permissions, safeguarding information, and account permissions.
Members Age 13 and Under
Members who are 13 years old or younger must have authorization from a parent or legal guardian before they may directly message other members through the Talk App. TORCC may collect the child’s age or date of birth, parent or guardian information, authorization status, and related account permissions to administer these protections.
TORCC may restrict or revoke a minor’s messaging permissions where reasonably necessary for safety, safeguarding, policy enforcement, or legal compliance. Parents or guardians may contact TORCC regarding a child’s account or messaging permissions.
Where applicable law requires verifiable parental consent before personal information is collected directly online from a child, TORCC will seek the required consent or restrict the applicable feature.
7. Events, Dipping Night, Prayer, and Ministry Services
Events and Dipping Night
When you register for a TORCC service, conference, class, Dipping Night, ministry appointment, group, or other event, we may collect contact information, registration details, ministry-session selections, attendance or check-in information, scheduling information, payment information where applicable, accessibility or safety information, and parent or guardian information for minors.
Dipping Night, including DippingNight.TORCC.org, may involve ministry experiences such as prophetic ministry, prophetic direction, prophetic art, or other ministry experiences offered from time to time. Information may be shared with an authorized TORCC ministry leader, artist, or ministry partner only to the extent reasonably necessary to administer the requested experience.
Prayer and Pastoral Care
Prayer requests, pastoral care, counseling, ministry requests, or similar communications may contain sensitive information concerning spiritual matters, family circumstances, relationships, health, emotional circumstances, or other personal concerns. TORCC seeks to limit access to persons who reasonably require the information for the relevant ministry, administrative, safety, or safeguarding purpose.
Electronic pastoral or ministry communications cannot be guaranteed to have absolute confidentiality, and TORCC may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or address serious safety, safeguarding, abuse, or protection concerns.
8. TORCC Store, Shopify, Giving, and Payments
store.torcc.org and Shopify
TORCC operates store.torcc.org using Shopify. When you browse or purchase from the TORCC Store, TORCC and Shopify may process information such as your name, contact details, billing and shipping address, order history, cart and checkout activity, transaction information, device or browser information, and information needed for fulfillment, returns, fraud prevention, customer support, and store operations.
Shopify and other payment, shipping, fulfillment, or technology providers may process information on TORCC’s behalf or under their own privacy terms where they provide services directly to you. We encourage you to review the privacy notices of those providers.
Giving, Donations, and Payment Processing
TORCC provides opportunities to give tithes, offerings, donations, and other financial contributions through TORCC websites, applications, and other authorized giving channels.
When you make a donation, we may collect information such as:
- your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address;
- donation amount;
- fund, campus, ministry, project, or other designation you select;
- whether your gift is one-time or recurring;
- transaction date and status;
- transaction or payment identifier;
- giving history;
- information needed to provide donation receipts, annual giving statements, or other financial records;
- information needed to administer refunds, chargebacks, failed payments, or donor support.
Payment Information
When you make an online donation, you may be asked to provide payment information such as a credit or debit card, bank account information, or another supported payment method.
TORCC currently uses third-party payment processors, including Stripe and PayPal, to process certain online donations and payments.
Depending on the payment method and integration used, your payment information may be provided directly to Stripe, PayPal, or another authorized payment provider rather than being stored directly by TORCC.
TORCC may receive limited information relating to your payment, such as:
- donor or account name;
- billing contact information;
- payment status;
- transaction amount;
- transaction identifier;
- payment method type;
- limited payment details, such as the last four digits of a payment card, where provided by the processor;
- refund, dispute, or chargeback information.
TORCC does not require access to your complete payment-card number or complete bank account credentials in order to maintain your giving history.
Stripe
Where Stripe is used to process a donation or payment, Stripe may receive and process information including your name, contact information, billing information, payment-method information, transaction details, IP address, device information, and other information necessary to process the transaction, prevent fraud, comply with financial regulations, and provide its payment services. Stripe may act as a processor on TORCC’s behalf for some activities and as an independent data controller for others. Stripe
Stripe’s handling of personal information is also governed by its own privacy practices.

PayPal
Where PayPal is used, PayPal may receive and process information necessary to complete the transaction, such as your name, email address, shipping or billing information where relevant, transaction amount, and payment information.
PayPal generally does not provide merchants with your complete financial account information. PayPal states that merchants may receive information needed to process a transaction, such as a payer’s name, email address, amount paid, shipping address, and phone number where applicable.
PayPal generally acts as an independent controller for the personal information it processes through its payment services and requires merchants to inform customers about PayPal’s processing and link to PayPal’s privacy notice. PayPal

Recurring Giving
If you choose to establish a recurring donation, information necessary to administer the recurring gift may be retained by TORCC and/or the applicable payment processor.
You may be able to modify or cancel recurring giving through the applicable TORCC giving interface, your payment provider, or by contacting TORCC.
Cancellation of a recurring gift will not ordinarily remove records of donations already completed where TORCC needs to retain those records for accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention, or donor-history purposes.
Donation Designations and Giving Records
If you select a specific fund, ministry, campus, project, campaign, or other giving designation, TORCC may retain that designation together with your donation record so that we can administer the contribution appropriately and maintain accurate financial records.
TORCC may use donor information to:
- process and acknowledge donations;
- maintain giving history;
- issue receipts and annual giving statements;
- respond to donor questions;
- administer recurring giving;
- reconcile financial records;
- prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions;
- comply with accounting, tax, audit, and legal requirements;
- communicate with you regarding your gift or giving account.
Where permitted by law and consistent with your communication preferences, TORCC may also contact you regarding ministry initiatives, campaigns, projects, or other opportunities to give.
Security and Financial Information
TORCC uses established third-party payment providers to help process online financial transactions securely.
Stripe and PayPal maintain their own security and privacy programs and process payment information according to their respective terms and privacy policies. PayPal states that it maintains PCI DSS compliance for cardholder data, while Stripe maintains contractual data-security obligations for payment processing.
No electronic payment system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you should protect your account credentials and notify TORCC or the applicable payment provider if you believe a transaction has been made without authorization.
Retention of Giving Records
TORCC may retain donation and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes including:
- tax and accounting requirements;
- financial audits;
- donor statements and receipts;
- internal financial controls;
- fraud prevention;
- dispute or chargeback resolution;
- legal and regulatory obligations;
- maintaining accurate church giving records.
Payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal may separately retain information according to their own legal, regulatory, security, and privacy obligations.
9. SMS, Email, Push Notifications, and Other Communications
SMS / Text Messaging
TORCC may send text messages for church updates, events, registrations, ministry or appointment reminders, volunteer communications, account notices, emergency or operational messages, and other communications for which appropriate consent has been obtained. You may opt in through TORCC.org, DippingNight.TORCC.org, Pulse, the TORCC App, registration forms, QR-code forms, or another authorized TORCC process.
TORCC does not share, sell, rent, transfer, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
TORCC may provide mobile information to telecommunications carriers and messaging service providers only as necessary to deliver messages, operate the messaging service, maintain security, provide technical support, prevent fraud or abuse, or comply with law. Such providers are not authorized by TORCC to use your opt-in information for their own independent marketing.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of applicable text messages and HELP for assistance where supported. Opting out of SMS does not necessarily unsubscribe you from email, push notifications, Talk Messenger, or other TORCC communications. Consent to recurring or promotional SMS messages is not a condition of attending TORCC, receiving ministry, making a donation, or purchasing goods or services.
Email and Push Notifications
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in applicable communications and may disable push notifications through the App or device settings. TORCC may continue to send transactional, security, account, registration, or other service-related communications when reasonably necessary
10. Cookies, App Data, Analytics, and Device Permissions
TORCC Services may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages or screens viewed, login activity, feature usage, dates and times of access, approximate location derived from IP address, crash information, diagnostics, and security logs.
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and analytics technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, provide functionality, protect security, understand usage, troubleshoot, and improve performance. Your browser or device may allow you to manage many of these technologies.
Certain app features may request access to device functions such as notifications, camera, photos or media, microphone, calendar, or location. Permissions can generally be managed through your device settings.
If TORCC offers sign-in through Apple, Google, Facebook, or another provider, that provider may send information associated with your account according to the permissions you approve and its own privacy practices.
11. How We Share Personal Information
TORCC may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
- to authorized TORCC pastors, staff, ministry leaders, administrators, group leaders, event leaders, or volunteers where access is appropriate to their responsibilities;
- to service providers that help us operate hosting, databases, authentication, Pulse, the Talk App, member messaging, Shopify, payments, email, SMS, push notifications, analytics, media, livestreaming, security, backups, event registration, or technical support;
- to a TORCC location, ministry, or department where necessary to provide a requested service or ministry activity;
- at your direction or with your authorization;
- when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, safety or safeguarding obligations, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect TORCC or other persons.
Service providers may process information only as permitted by their agreements with TORCC and applicable law. Nothing in this section permits TORCC to share SMS opt-in information or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
12. Data Retention and Security
Retention
TORCC retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and for legitimate church, ministry, financial, tax, accounting, safeguarding, security, historical, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
For example, transaction records may be retained for financial or tax requirements; membership and ministry records may be retained as church records; safeguarding or parental-authorization records may require longer retention; and SMS opt-out records may be retained so that an opt-out continues to be honored. Information in system backups may remain until the applicable backup is replaced or deleted in the ordinary course.
Security
TORCC uses reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, which may include access controls, authentication, encryption, backups, security monitoring, and role-based permissions. No internet transmission, messaging platform, application, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Your Privacy Rights and International Users
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and the law applicable to TORCC’s processing, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of certain information, obtain a copy of certain information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, opt out of communications, or lodge a privacy complaint.
These rights may be subject to legal exceptions, including exemptions that apply to nonprofit, charitable, or religious organizations. TORCC may also need to retain certain financial, safeguarding, security, legal, or church records even after a deletion request. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
United States
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state laws. TORCC does not sell personal information for monetary consideration and does not sell or share SMS opt-in information for marketing or promotional purposes.
Australia
Where the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, or other applicable Australian privacy requirements apply, TORCC will seek to handle personal information consistently with those requirements. Religious beliefs, religious affiliation, health information, and certain other information may be treated as sensitive information under Australian law.
EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Where applicable European, UK, or Swiss data-protection law applies, TORCC may process personal information based on consent, the provision of requested services, legitimate interests, legal obligations, vital interests, or another lawful basis. Applicable rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.
International Processing
TORCC operates internationally and uses service providers that may process information in more than one country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, TORCC will seek to use appropriate lawful mechanisms.
14. Changes to This Policy and Contact Us

TORCC may update this Privacy Policy as our ministries, technology, service providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The “Last Updated” date will identify the current version. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice of material changes through our websites, applications, email, or another communication method.
