In this episode, Dr. Robyn Kassas and Dr. Nathan Kassas complete their list of schema and rhema markers. They start with the peace marker, contrasting the peace of God with temporary relief, which comes when a threat is removed, and pointing to Philippians 4 and Jesus asleep in the boat. Next is the humility marker, using Peter's protest in Matthew 16 to show how a schema makes us unteachable. The love marker follows, with 1 Corinthians 13 and John 13:35: a rhema never produces cruelty, pride, or suspicion. Then comes the identity marker, using Jeremiah 1:5, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Gideon's false humility. The outcome marker, with Mary's surrender, contrasts obedience with self-protection. A schema says my past has spoken; a rhema says God said, and it brings the old interpretation under the authority of God's Word.
