They then open a new teaching on the difference between the mountain and the valley. The mountain gives perspective, while the valley shows where you are and lets God regulate what was revealed. Using Moses in Exodus 32, they explain that revelation on the mountain must be implemented in the valley, where dysfunction continues until it is governed. They discuss how stress narrows attention toward threats, why neither place is a permanent dwelling, and how thin mountain air illustrates carrying responsibility.
