August 27, 2026
In this episode, Dr. Robyn Kassas and Dr. Nathan Kassas read John 21 and complete their study of Peter's reinstatement at the Fish Gate. They teach that Peter's guilt kept him from seeing Jesus on the shore, and that being made whole requires many pieces, as a whole pizza has many slices. They note that the net did not break under the 153 fish and that Jesus cooked breakfast for His disciples. Jesus asks Peter three times about love, addresses him as Simon, son of Jonah, and comes down to Peter's level. The hosts explain that present love can mediate past trauma, and that we recall our reaction to a memory rather than the event. They preview the Old Gate.
