Transgenderism

We believe that God intentionally created human beings male and female (Genesis 1:27). Biological sex is part of God’s good design and is not accidental, fluid, or self-determined. Our identity is something we receive from God, not something we invent for ourselves. What God created is good and is not subject to personal redefinition.

For these reasons, we reject transgenderism and all related ideologies that deny or attempt to alter God’s created order. The belief that a person can change their gender, separate gender from biological sex, or redefine themselves contrary to their God-given nature is unbiblical and incompatible with Christian faith and doctrine. Scripture warns against calling evil good and good evil, and against exchanging God’s truth for deception (Isaiah 5:20; Romans 1:25). Such ideologies reflect spiritual confusion and rebellion against God’s authority and design.

Transgenderism results from elevating self above God and allowing subjective experiences to define truth. We believe that our experiences should align with truth, rather than altering truth to fit our experiences.

Our church does not affirm transgender identities, gender transitions, or expressions that contradict biological sex as God assigned before we were in our mother's womb (Jer 1:5). These beliefs and practices will not be taught, promoted, or endorsed within our church life, leadership, or ministry.

We believe that true freedom and identity are found not in self-definition, but in submission to God’s truth.

Through Jesus Christ, forgiveness, restoration, and transformation are available to all who turn away from sin and trust in Him.

At the same time, we affirm that every person is made in the image of God and is worthy of dignity, love, and compassion. Rejecting an ideology is not the same as rejecting a person.

All people, including those struggling with gender identity, are welcome to hear the gospel and are invited to repentance, healing, and new life in Christ.

Our church is committed to walking patiently, truthfully, and lovingly with those who desire to live in obedience to God’s Word, no matter what their background may be, and coming alongside them to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus.
